Dave James is a relationship-focused insurance advisor who believes trust is built through clarity, consistency, and being present when it counts. He works closely with clients to understand how their businesses truly operate and provides practical, straightforward risk-management advice tailored to real-world challenges—not generic insurance solutions.

Dave began his insurance career in 2006, learning the business from the ground up. He started in the mailroom and progressed through marketing, account management, and brokerage roles before becoming a partner at Corporate Insurance Management, Inc., and now serving as Senior Vice President at Crane Agency. That hands‑on path gives him a deep understanding of both the technical and operational sides of insurance, allowing him to connect with clients in a way that goes beyond the typical agent relationship.

He specializes in complex and hard-to-place risks, including historic and adaptive reuse properties (with tax credit structures), property management portfolios, cannabis operators, and construction-related trades. Dave is frequently brought in when accounts require thoughtful structuring, contract review, and proactive risk transfer—not just placement.

Outside of work, travel is Dave’s guilty pleasure. He enjoys live music and stays active by playing and volunteering at local disc golf courses.
