About Ken Pines

Kenneth Pines is a producer and senior vice president at Crane Agency. He joined Crane shortly after obtaining a bachelor of science degree in business management from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1995. As part of his initial training, Kenneth completed Safeco Producer Development School in Seattle, Washington, in 1996. Passionate about learning, he has attended several carrier development programs throughout his career including State Auto in Columbus, Ohio; CNA in Chicago, Illinois; Secura in Memphis, Tennessee; and Chubb in St. Louis, Missouri.

Kenneth’s area of expertise is working closely with business owners to design cost-effective insurance and risk management programs. He enjoys navigating clients through the intricacies of building a comprehensive insurance strategy and introducing them to the many value added services Crane has to offer. Kenneth takes great pride in delivering personal service. Along with his competent staff, he is always available to provide assistance when needed.

Kenneth has been active throughout his career in many industry organizations on a local, state and national level. He served on the Young Agents Committee of the Missouri Insurance Agents Association from 2005-2010 and was chairperson in 2009. Kenneth has served as the liaison between the St. Louis Independent Agents Association and Missouri Independent Agents Association. Kenneth was on the St. Louis Independent Agents board and served as president from 2012 to 2013. Passionate about being an advocate for his clients, Kenneth has lobbied in Washington, DC and Jefferson City, Missouri, at the legislative conference of the big “I” — the National Association of independent agents—several times. Kenneth is also active and is the past president for the Business NOW Chapter of Business Networking International, an organization dedicated to business growth through a diverse group of industries.

Kenneth has been married to his wife Jennifer for the past 20 years and has three children: Madison, Dylan and Chase. Of all of his achievements, his family is the most important aspect of his life. He is the Cub Scout Den leader, Coach and overall number-one fan. Kenneth also enjoys golf, traveling and racquetball.
