Jerry has worked in the insurance business all of his adult life. He bagan his insurance career as a Surety Bond Underwriter with a large insurance company then moved into the agency ranks. He was one of the founders of The Bond Men, Inc., a firm specializing in surety bonds and insurance for the construction industry. The Bond Men, Inc. merged into Financial Guardian Agency, a national agency that Jerry managed until 1988. He joined Corporate Insurance Management (CIM) in 1988 and came to the Crane Agency when CIM moved to the Crane Agency in 2005.

Jerry & his wife Nelda (Ned) have four children, 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is a native of St. Louis and earned an MBA from Lindenwood College. Jerry serves as a trustee of Missouri Baptist University and is an active member and past President of the Mehlville Optimist Club.
