Commercial Insurance Account Manager – Downtown St. Louis, Chesterfield and Springfield, Missouri Locations

POSITION SUMMARY

Support assigned producer(s) by placing and processing new business, account development, and renewal retention. Service assigned accounts.

JOB DUTIES

1.  Review and order renewals according to agency procedures. Investigate company non-renewals and coordinate with insured and producer(s) to remarket.

2.  Prepare applications, submit to insureds, carriers or Marketing Department; follow up to insure timely responses.

3.  Assist clients in making appropriate coverage changes; inform and educate clients about coverages, exclusions, exposures, and audits; document electronic file accordingly.

4.  Provide technical support to producer(s) to include survey policy coverages and identify cross-selling and upgrading opportunities.

5.  Prepare quotations, coverage summaries/comparisons, proposals, and recommendations needed to insure clients’ understanding of coverages.

6.  Renew and remarket accounts as needed in conjunction with producer(s) and agency standards.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework a plus. Complete knowledge of insurance practices and procedures of the agency and industry.

Licensure/Certification:

Current Property & Casualty Producer’s license required; CIC or CPCU completed or in process a plus.

Personal Characteristics:

Candidate must have excellent prioritization and organizational skills.  Candidate must possess a friendly, positive attitude with a willingness to help others.  Candidate must have excellent verbal and written skills, a professional telephone manner, the ability to establish effective relationships with staff and clients and the ability to work on highly detailed work under pressure and with time constraints.

Risk Management Consultant - Downtown St. Louis, Missouri

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide Loss Control consulting services to our commercial lines customers.

JOB DUTIES

1.  Consult with customers to determine loss control problems and assist in implementation of solutions. This includes safety program development and implementation, facility and jobsite inspections, OSHA compliance assistance, and supervisor/employee safety training & education.

2. Work with insurance company loss control personnel to address recommendations and other loss control service issues, and coordinate loss control services.

3. Provide brokers with commercial building valuations utilizing the Marshall & Swift/Boeckh Building Valuation application.

4. Address variety of exposures and controls related to General Liability, Products Liability, Fleet and Property lines of insurance.

5. Identity exposures/hazards and appropriate controls per established standards (OSHA, NFPA, ISO, etc.).

6. Must be able to operate personal computer including Microsoft Outlook, Work & Excel and, Marshall & Smith/Boeckh software and various other applications as necessary.

7. Licensed driver with vehicle.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience:

College degree in Safety or Engineering Services.  Minimum of 3 years safety related experience.

Licensure/Certification:

Current Property & Casualty Producer’s license preferred.  Certified Safety Professional (CSP) desired.  Other insurance related designations also helpful.

Personal Characteristics:

Must be comfortable addressing and presenting training to groups.  Ability to clearly communicate to both management and hourly employees.

Commercial Insurance CSR - Downtown St. Louis, Missouri or Work from Home Option

POSITION SUMMARY

Support assigned accounts as directed by the Producer(s), Account Executive(s), and Account Manager(s).

JOB DUTIES

1.  Perform all account transactions including applications, ID cards, proposals, summaries, audits, endorsements, certificates, binders, cancellations, follow-up and correspondence on assigned accounts using the agency’s management system.

2.  Respond to client inquiries, incoming mail and company requests on a timely manner.

3.  Collect underwriting data on assigned accounts.

4.  Investigate non-renewals and assist in remarketing accounts.

5.  Expand knowledge of the insurance business by engaging in self-development activity and relevant insurance course work (CISR, ACSR, etc.).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.  Minimum 2 to 3 years of insurance agency experience working with commercial lines insurance products.

Licensure/Certification:

Current Property & Casualty Producer’s license required.

Commercial Insurance Marketing Representative

POSITION SUMMARY

Assist clients with obtaining the broadest commercial coverage at the lowest price with financially sound carriers while building strong and long lasting relationships with both our clients and the carriers.

JOB DUTIES

  1. Effective working knowledge of the commercial lines marketplace, along with each carriers’ products, service and overall level of competitiveness.
  2. Develop and maintain effective business relationships with company underwriters and clients.
  3. Assist brokers in providing quality commercial insurance submissions, making recommendations as appropriate to improve the overall quality and likelihood of success, while keeping brokers informed throughout the commercial marketing process.
  4. Advise brokers about commissions by line of coverage, as well as any commercial insurance coverage restrictions or enhancements available.
  5. Market and place assigned new and renewal commercial insurance accounts on a timely basis.
  6. Bind coverage per broker instruction with documentation to broker and underwriter.
  7. Review applications to clarify ambiguous information and point out essential commercial insurance underwriting information that may be missing.
  8. Effectively use online rating programs.
  9. Document work in agency management system by use of activity codes.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must have 3 years prior experience working as a Commercial Lines Marketer in an insurance agency or have commercial lines insurance underwriting experience working for an insurance carrier. Candidates must have prior experience working with commercial lines rating systems.
